Tonight I’m subbing for Barbara at Pause Yoga Amesbury, at 7 PM, right after my regular Hour of Power class at 5:30. See you there!
As summerlike, late spring weather has descended upon us, I’ll be doing some substitute teaching for some of my colleagues at Pause Yoga Amesbury, starting with the Yoga Basics class, on Saturday, May 20, from 10:30 – 11:45 AM.
I love a good “basics” class, for indeed, the same basic principles of practice apply to practitioners at all levels. As some of my teachers and colleagues are fond of pointing out, those with more time on the mat can find depth in fundamentals, and those with less find the exact same benefit in working the exact same actions.
In this still expansive late spring, we’ll find freedom in the hips, still sloughing off the constrictions of winter. I hope you will be able to join me.

Blend the sweet sounds of inspiring poetry with the sweet moves of a yoga practice to celebrate National Poetry Month. Join Jennifer, Barbara & Richard for an all-levels yoga practice inspired by their favorite poems. This 75-minute class will be shared by all three teachers; modifications and options will be given for all to enjoy this inspired practice. Special introduction given by Amesbury Poet Laureate and Pause Yoga student, Lainie Senechal.
$15 in advance; $20 at the door

I am so excited to be subbing for Marc St. Pierre at Yoga Śaktí, voted “North Shore’s Best Studio,” next week. I have been studying with Marc for at least a half dozen years, and he is my favorite challenging local teacher. For me it’s an evolution of my practices of yoga, and teaching yoga.
